I Have Found Me a Home - Jimmy Buffett
Living and working in South Florida, Fort Lauderdale area. Have two awesome children who are my life
I retired after 33 years in law enforcement (11 at Lakewood PD (Ohio) and 22 with Lauderhill PD (Florida) but I'm not done working.
In 2017 I became the Director of the Palm Beach State College Criminal Justice Institute. I worked there until 2020 where just before the pandemic I accepted a position with the Broward College Institute of Public Safety as the Defensive Tactics/Physical Training Program Manager. A job that I love and is much closer to home in Sunrise, Florida.
I serve at my church co-leading Griefshare and security.
At church I met Anne and we married in 2021. Anne is from France and we have been fortunate to have travelled three times, so far, to France to visit her parents and sister.
My twins, Arabella and Reef are now in college - which is so hard for me to believe!
We still live in Sunrise Florida with our red nosed pitbull named Ginger and my kids.
My experience of having lost my fiancé Marilyn to cancer in 2016 brought out an empathy in me to inspire me to help others who are suffering from the loss of a loved one. My Faith is strong as is my desire to share that Hope with others.
I still scuba diving, run, and bike for fun. From May 2020 to June 2022 I had a daily run streak going but getting older made me realize running daily was creating some issues. HOWEVER as of this update I have a full marathon on my calendar for February 2024. I train daily in some type of physical activity and eat primarily plant based Whole Foods.
Movement and eating right are keys to longevity.
Life is short.
At some point our time here on earth will be marked with two dates separated by a dash. Make the most of your dash….it’s never too late to live, love, and most of all - Laugh!
Hope to see you at the next reunion!

Nothing really. But people are a lot cooler/nicer now than they were back then and I'm glad to be able to keep in touch with most everyone from our class.
